The California Department of Justice was presented with the LEIU Special Achievement Award at the 2010 Awards Banquet at the Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. The CA DOJ was one of 26 founding members of the LEIU in 1956, and has continually played a key role in its success. The Department has been the LEIU Central Coordinating Agency since its inception where it has performed the administrative support to LEIU for over 54 years and has been significant in the LEIU operations and coordination.
